Oando founded an independent charity, Oando Foundation in 2011, with a primary focus on driving a sustainable basic educational system for the Nigerian child through its  Adopt-A-School Initiative (AASI). Today, the Foundation has adopted ~ 88 public primary schools across Nigeria, supporting over 200,000 students, enrolled over 61,000 out-of-school children, trained 5,000+ teachers, infrastructure rehabilitation of adopted schools and established over 45 digital learning centres. 

More recently, the Foundation in collaboration with Sumitomo Chemical initiated a project to promote environmental education and sustainable action for pupils in target schools and host communities in Lagos State with support from the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) as the implementing partner. The project tagged ‘Clean Our World’ (COW) which commenced in 2020, has directedly impacted 7994+ children, teachers, government representatives and community members with the knowledge of climate change, sustainable environmental practices and proper waste management approaches and upcycling; trained 121 teachers; recycled 384Kg of plastic waste and proceeds from plastic buyback used to support beneficiary schools, improving teaching, and learning delivery amongst others.
